@Scobleizer says, “Twitter has turned into the new news aggregator.” @Marshallk says, “Facebook Could Become World’s Leading News Reader”

The biggest problem that has held RSS reading back from going mainstream is ease-of-use. There is confusion around what to do once you click the RSS icon on any publisher’s site. Consumers just want content. They don’t care how it gets to them.

I believe Twitter and Facebook could make the process of subscribing to content easy enough for mass adoption. I agree with Marshall, “Become a Fan is a relatively clear call to action.” Or when you are on Twitter, Follow, is very intuitive.

From the early adopters like Scoble and Marshall to the mainstream audience, becoming a Fan or Following is super easy to explain to anyone. There is no technology barrier to overcome.

RSS will be in the background just like HTML. The technology doesn’t matter. What matters is the result – content in my ‘inbox’. Just give me my content!

Which do you think is a better aggregator Twitter or Facebook?
